Rabbit breeding question

I am trying to breed two of our bunnies. We bought them this summer at Fryeburg Fair to breed, and I have had no luck so far. They are Californians, and she is a little over 8 months old now I think, and he is closer to a year. I tried to breed them two months ago, and then again earlier this week, but I don't think we had any luck this time, either. He just didn't seem to be as... er... interested in finishing the job. Should I just try to breed her to my Dad's buck, or one of our performing bunnies? We have a mini lop, a mini-rex throw that has regular fur, and Dad's rabbits are Silver Fox. I don't care if the bunnies are purebred, I just want to find out whether she can have babies, because if not we'll have rabbit stew.
