i was looking around ebay and found this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2378151868&category=43555#ebayphotohosting
for those who have concerns of using rockwool, and the ones who uses sponge to start seeds... i think this will be an organic way to start seeds and cutting according to the description of the seller. thought to pass this along.

Organic Sponge???
Oh Ma Vie, this is the same stuff I bought at the hydroponics store the other day when I was getting more rockwool. I am going to test it against rockwool and coconut pith fiber.
It is so neat to feel. Even though it is not really a sponge, it feels like one. It produces large populations of beneficial microbes that are supposed to do all sorts of great things! The guy at the store talked about the brand you have there in your link also! The plugs I bought are bigger than the ones in your link.
Kell,
i do not know if they are one and the same, i just see pictures LOL.
found something else. hope this site takes off the mystery of starting seeds and cutting ... http://www.growhere.com/propagation/tips.htm
i am not promoting anything here, merely trying to help alleviate and solve some of the mystery/ies of growing plants.
edited to ask....
Kell ... is the price u pay for what u got cheaper than the ones on ebay? am sure inquiring minds wants to know!!!

if someone has issues with rockwool, why not try Oasis root cubes?
I use them for many of the same purposes, cuttings, the occasional seed starting.
I paid $9.99 I think for 50 but they are bigger than the ones you linked to. You prodded me to plant some seeds up in it last night, so I did. Though I am not sure the seeds are viable.
