first winter bloom

I just got home from vacation in Mexico and checked on my brugs in basement -- and a bloom!!! It made my day--we got 20 inches of snow while I was gone--what a perfect week to be gone--now think spring!!!!

Hibiscus--I'm not sure but I think it is a suav. pink--I got it last year as a cutting off ebay--it bloomed all summer long--I was amazed at how long it bloomed and how full of blooms it was--it blooms more pink in the summer

Thanks root--I still have one more brug with blooms pods on it-I hope it blooms--the tag said pink on it so who knows--my other brug had pods but they dried up and fell off--bummer--I never thought they would bloom in the winter--I didnt think they had enough lite

I have a suaveolens Pink from Springsong. It had buds on it when I received it, bloomed all summer. Love it!

wow..now i know i want to try them...are they hard to start from seeds?...how long from seed to first bloom?..am i better of to just try to buy a rooted plant?....very nice...i like it when there are blooms in the greenhouse in the winter...i have a abutilon(spelling)that is blooming...and its dark pink/rose colored...i luv it...very nice flower

Cindy this is my first year with brugs--so I dont know much except they are very addicting--I started out with cuttings and small rooted plants and just started some seeds--its all a learning experience--there are some great brug masters here at Daves and they have given me great info--everyone is so helpful--I read more then I post--I'm learning new stuff everyday cheryl
