Getting Paper Whites to rebloom next year

Hughesville, MO(Zone 5a)

I have some really nice big PW bulbs that I want to try to get to rebloom next year. Does anyone know the secret to doing this? I've tried before without success.

Gee, I just leave mine in the ground and where once there were 10 is now a bed full. I do not know if you can do that in your zone. Can you pot them and bring them into the house when it gets cold since they do not require chilling? They start blooming in Nov here. When I dug them up last year, I just kept them in a paper bag and replanted in sept. I hope someone comes along that can be of more help.

Thanks. I do plant mine out in the yarden in the summer and redig them in the fall before frost. I hope I can get some realpful hints here.

Wish I could help, but I don't have to dig, they just stay in the ground here and rebloom every year and multiply wonderfully. I don't even fertilize them.

same here, the ground all year and more each year..No special care, in fact where most are, they are neglected, exact for Mother Nature..Good luck! Guess we are no help at all, are we? lol

Mine are just now finished blooming.. They start here around Christmas or a little before..All gone now except for a few stragglers. My daffodils are blooming now, and all our rain this whole week has just beaten the heck out of them.

Leaflady, do you mean you had some blooming indoors for the holidays and now you want to put them outside to live??? If so, I am in the same boat as you. Does anyone know the answer for Leaflady and me???? Don't mean to hijack your thread here!!!!

Thought I'd bump this REALLY old thread as we never got an answer- LOL!!
