Last night the weather report had taken us out of the storm area. It just started snowing here about 5 minutes ago! We also got about .12" of rain last night. As dry as our winter has been so far we really needed it. It was so warm yesterday that the ice and snow on the ground was melting. Slowly tho so it all soaked in to the thirsty ground. I just talked to Shad and he said the schools in the K.C. area are closed because of the ice beneath the snow. He and his sister are home today so he is working on some electronic projects.
I hear the half time show for the Super Bowl was really a shocker. But what did they expect from MTV? It has a reputation for morally shocking and indecent shows. Personally I wouldn't have wasted my time watching the Super Bowl much less the commercials or half time show but I know many do. I go for dog shows, gardening shows, etc. I use to watch horse shows and racing but find them to frustrating and filled with tension for me. Especially the races. Horses must be destroyed all too often due to injuries on the track or jumping trials. As for the ring type shows, I want to be out there riding and find it very frustrating that I'm not.
I finally got the suitcases all unpacked and have all of them stuffed into the one big one we bought new for this trip. It was a 3 piece set and we really enjoyed it. The large one is on wheels. We also got one of those neat little luggage carriers on wheels. So much nicer than carrying all that heavy luggage ourselves. As Jack said, now if we can just manage to move that big one. It is really heavy by now.
I just realized the other day that the pullets in the utility room may very well start laying eggs in there. The oldest ones are now 3 1/2 months old and the yonger ones are 3 months old. It will certainly make gathering the eggs easy!
GOD bless and keep each and all of you.
