Sequee, What do you want, that maybe I have or can get easily?

Kingston, GA(Zone 7b)

Sequee, I would love to have one sweet pepperbush! I know these ladies are in line before me but if you should have an extra afterwards, Please contact me. Also let me know what plants you would like in exchange. Thanks bunches! Monica

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

According to the Reader's Digest Illustrated Book on Gardening, these are easy to root in water, so I will take clippings tomorrow and get them started. I will also so do some more digging and see what I can come up with already rooted. I understand this is the perfect time of year to do this (and I'm off on Wednesday, so I should be able to accommodate your requests.

I have tons of e-mails on this, too, but I will consider you 3 first since I posted here.

Tina and Ginger - can't believe how long you've been waiting for this - I will be sure you get nice rooted cuttings! Supposedly they grow rapidly and produce scrumptuous smelling flowers pretty quick.

I'll check out trade lists tomorrow if you have them... and be in touch via DG "e".

crossville, TN(Zone 7a)

Thank you so much Sequee!! Plants mean so much more when they come from someone who loves gardening.

Tina

Paxton, FL(Zone 8a)

Sequee. I haven't updated my tradelist in a while. I'll look around and come back here to let you know what else I have available.

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

According to the landscaper at work, all I need to do is rip up root sections and you can plant them. He says cuttings and seeds take longer and may or may not take at all, especially at this time of year. (Apparently cuttings root better in the spring when the growth is "fresh".) That being said, I will dig up root sections for each of you, and send the seed pods, too. Dig a little trench, place the root section in the ground, along with the seeds, and cover with soil. Tony suggested amending the soil a tad - whatever works best for your area, then mulching the area. He says the roots will "set" over winter and everyone should have seedlings come Spring. (From his mouth to God's ears!)

I will try to mail them all on Monday morning so you can get them to ground before it freezes! You will have to let me know how they are doing come Spring! If any don't take, though they should - this is the exact time to be doing this, we will try again with cuttings in the Spring!

Haven't had the time to look at trade lists yet - we can worry about that later!

I'll send notes once the rootings are mailed!

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

PS - My summersweet bush is NOT the Hummingbird Dwarf. It is a good 6 feet tall and 5 feet around.

crossville, TN(Zone 7a)

You are a dear Sequee!!!

Thank you so much
Tina

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

Tina and Monica, you are both packed up and ready to go to the PO in the morning. Gingerlily, please send me an e-mail with your address ASAP so I can get yours out tomorrow as well.

Thanks!

Kingston, GA(Zone 7b)

Thank you so much Sequee! :)

Bellaire, MI(Zone 5a)

Is it too late for me to get a cutting? I have a tall hill that needs this kind of bush to prevent erosion of our front yard. PLMK Thanks. sharon

Paxton, FL(Zone 8a)

Sequee, It arrived yesterday, thanks so much! Seeds too. Hopefully I'll get them both to grow. I have walking iris, harlequin glorybower, brugmansias, white butterfly ginger, firespike, blue perennial morning glory, sweet shrub, flowering almond (not the tree), and I'm sure other things I just can't think of right now. I am so exhausted, been building on a greenhouse since Friday.

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

If anyone has any probelms growing these let me know come Spring. I've been reading up on these and I understand they will root from cuttings in the Spring, and it won't deter mine from blossoming. Since this is the first time I've tried this, don't be shy about asking me to try again!

gingerlily, you have mail.

crossville, TN(Zone 7a)

Got my package!! Thank you so much

Tina

Paxton, FL(Zone 8a)

Sequee, where do I have mail? Haven't received any from you.

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

Oh, dear! Let me see if I can find and re-send it!
