Should I cut VooDoo lily

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

I went to check the bulbs and found that the voodoo lily had grown a hugh flower stalk. When I was getting it out of the cabinet the flower tore in half. Can I cut it off and plant it to get another one? :( It is growing side ways.

What I mean is can I cut off the bulb and plant it and have it bloom again?

I'm growing my first ones this year, but I would guess that it would not bloom again. Don't go by my guess though. Hopefully someone who has had this experience will come along and give you advise.
