So sweet!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

A tiny sang bloom was waiting for me! It is only a few inches long. I think the green part should change to yellow! My second bloom on this one! My first was months and months ago!

Sure wish we could grow those in South Texas. That's probably the only thing Susie is not going to be able to grow. Poor baby.

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

Boo-Hoo???? I think not..lol
Sangs grow here, maybe she will trade homesteads? Hah!

I still have the picture in my head of susie out in the moonlight planting her cuttings in the wet sand by the drain-ditch .....look out for that croc-igator susie!!!

Wow Kell that's great.Got a new picture yet?

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

Beautiful bloom Kell. Out of 5 seedlings started about this time last year, I have only 1 plant left. It's in the gh and had been happy until our ice storm Monday. There has been no heat since then and the temp this morning in gh was 30, in MY house was 41. I don't know what will survive.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Well, it has not changed color yet. It is still cool here and maybe that is why! It is so tiny! I have a bunch more coming.

Gee Linda, I hope you survive! Showers must be painful!! If it gets too cold, throw sheets over them at night. It worked great here when it dipped under 30. When will you get your heat back?

Kyle, which seeds are those? My yellow sang from Kartuz finally bloomed 1 bloom about 2 months ago. It was very nice.

Why do I always see typos immediately after hitting send??

Another beauty. I'm ready to move to a warmer zone. No one knows when it will all be back up. I've been at my daughter's house. They just say (on a recording) that they are doing their best. As of this morning there were still 30,000 out. I think at the peak it was over 100,000. It's the worst damage we've had in 15-20 years.

Tonasket, WA(Zone 5a)

Linda, I surely feel for you. Hope your power comes on soon. Those are very low temps. Hope you didn't lose too many things in your GH. Donna

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Kell, the seeds came from a seller online. They were a freebie after I bought two plants.

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

Kyle,
.... You are lucky, I recieved bonus surprise seeds with a evilBay purchase. They are so rare no one has even heard of them =(
........They were not brug seeds so I tossed them, they prob picked them from ditch-weeds and re-named them.....Hah!

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Scooterbug..these looked legit so will see what grows from them.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

You never now what will grow! Ruth Ann grew seeds that were given to her as unknowns and she got an incredible looking brug! It has darker pink center and a lighter outer rim. I just love it!

Well the yellow sanquinea seeds are sprouting...yea!! :-)

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

Ohhh, if only they all germinated as easily and strongly as the sangs, wouldn't that be nice ? IMO =)

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Yes, and if only the sangs would grow and bloom like the other brugs. We would have it made. Good luck with the seedlings Kyle.

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

Brugie , I am aware of the bloom habits but do the sangs growth patterns differ ? Slower or faster or whazzit??

I love my chubby chunky sang seedlings =)
§

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Much slower for me. I started some from seed and the first year, not even a Y. About three to four foot tall, but that is all it did. It got that tall and stopped growing. The leaves were really thick on the top then, but I could not distinguish whether or not it was making a Y or what it was doing because of the thickness. I gave up and sent it to a new home. Will have to check on it and see how it is progressing.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Kell - did the green part turn yella on this one?

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Finally, it has gotten warm enough for a bloom to turn yellow! These are sure cute.

CC this is the one I sent to you.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Very nice! It looks fatter too. I have some teeny pods coming on arborea now with your pollen.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Beautiful bloom, Kell.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

I take my post back. I found an aborted pod on the floor this morning. I'll keep trying tho...

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

I am confused by the word, "sang". What does that mean. I think that's what the Chinese call ginseng...

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

It's just short for sanguinea ... or Brugmansia snaguinea

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Oh Sue, this is the one I sent you pollen of also. This one was the fresh pollen and I sent you frozen orange sang pollen too. So no viable pods? mabe it is still too wintery where you are.

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

I sure like the looks of this beautiful flower!!!

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

I can't wait till it sets another bloom......its BEAUTIFUL!!!

Northridge, CA(Zone 10a)

My first Sang, planted a year and a half ago has just sprouted 2 big blooms. Here is one. The other is hidden to the left, the throat just barely showing. The visible one, however, just stands out like a tiffany lamp. I think of all my brugs this has to be my favorite: so dainty and so intense.

Oh Joe, She is so beautiful =)
.................. Just hoping and crossing fingers that maybe one of mine will bloom next year.
...........I love being a Zone-Pusher ....LOL

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

I had 5 started from seeds, now I'm down to 1. I understand that they don't like the heat, and it gets plenty hot here. The one that survived was in my office window and had the benefit of AC. It's at home in the gh now but I think I'll bring it back to the office when the others go outside. It's over a year old now and about30 inches and has not "Yed" yet.
