Filipendula rubra

Laurel, DE(Zone 7a)

Queen of the Prairie? Just saw one of these in a garden book. Can they be started from a cutting? If so and anyone can spare would love to trade for a gift certificate from Garden Supply?

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

I have tons of Filipendula purpurea I can send in the spring,I have 2 other varieties ,one variegated but they are still babies......

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Never seen the variegated one. Know anywhere I may could buy one?

Laurel, DE(Zone 7a)

Crested, the purpurea is that a purple??? or is it the pink? Not that it matters, would love some regardless. Guess if you have it up there it will surely be hardy here thanks for the offer and will be happy to send Gift Certificate and postage, just email me when it may be available.
thanks again!

Its pink and VERY tall ,it smells great...but its invasive where I have it.
I got the variegated one from Green Mountian

No need for the gift certificate, just postage

I could probably dig some up now,the ground is so insulated from the 3 feet of snow that the ground never froze....but I don't feel like shoveling. Its -0 out.....

Laurel, DE(Zone 7a)

Oh my not now, I can't dig either and expecting a lot more snow. Also, I don't have a place left in the house to keep another plant warm. Spring will be fine and the GC is yours!
thanks again, and just let me know about the postage in advance in March or something like that, wishfull thinking that spring will come early!

Would this be hardy in zone 4? If it is, I would sure like a piece of it. Right now my flowers are under snow and we are getting rain this late afternoon!! Who asked for that?
I can do postage or plant swap.
