Post-Op (Spay)

Hobart, IN(Zone 5a)

I had my 7 mo. old Shepherd spayed on Thursday. She did great, probably too good. When I picked her up in the afternoon she acted as if she never had surgery. I am having a very hard time keeping her quiet. She's normally a pretty calm little girl but because she's been crated and leashed most of the time since her surgery she wants to bust loose.

Yesterday the day after her surgery, she busted out of the door and ran around like a race horse, scared me silly. She is not a jumper but has been jumping up on us every chance she gets.

I am going to call the vet to see it he will allow a walk around the block. The poor little thing needs to spend some of that energy. How in the world am I going to keep her quiet for the next few days?
