I have a seedling that Y'd at like three inches tall last year. it then had multiple y's after that---i have four really long "arms" about three foot or so with lil y's on top of them. They are fairly thick-- my question is---how long is too long and how thick is too thick to take cuttings? these are fairly straight, and very similar to each other in shape and size. Is there a limit as to how long a cutting can be before its too big to sustain its self while the roots develop? This silly thing grew at super sonic speed,---the blooms look pretty much like frosty lol and it y's all over the place. its not a knock out--and I dont know its mama n papa, *bad labeler that i was* but Im hoping to cross it someday because its so grow happy, a Y happy. cheryl
how big is too big?
Sounds like you have a winner, good traits, wanting to grow and Y. I would keep it and try to get something good from it. Deeper color and good smell.
I don't think there is a "too big".I have rooted some cuttings that were 6 feet tall and 3 inches thick at the bottom.Take all the leaves off and it should root.
YAYYYYYYYY
