Can I cut off the VooDoo

I went to check the bulbs and found that the voodoo lily had grown a hugh flower stalk. When I was getting it out the flower tore in half. Can I cut it off and plant it to get another one? :(

a new bulb can only be grown from a 'chip' not from a flower

I think she was asking if the bloom stalk is cut off will another one replace it so it would bloom again.....
