This is Ollie, a cutting from Poppy Sue. I got these from her back in the fall. As you can see they are doing wonderfully. This is just one of many that have Y's, this one just has the most. I'm hoping to see blooms soon.....What do yall think?
My Brugs are begining to Y
Gosh WillowWasp... It looks fantastic! They must like your texas climate. Hope you get lots of blooms soon!
Guess brugs and Texas weather go together, lookin' good!
Congratulations Willowwasp! That is a very nice surprise at this time of the year.
Yes, I think they really like it here. As I said I got these cuttings from Poppy in the fall and this plant is already about 3 ft tall. I will get more photos later when the wind dies down a little.....

Oh to be able to live in a warm climate. Hope you will be posting pictures before long of blooms Dee.
That's fantastic, Dee! Can't wait until mine look that good!
wow, I am jealous. ;0) What kind of fertilizer and how often are u using it? LOL tell me all your secrets...heheheheheheee!
Looks great.
Congrats!! That is so cool for you. Dont forget to post pics when you get your first buds
Since the weather has been cooler (later part of December) I have cut back my fertlizing program, to none. I was set on about 1 or 2 times a week depepending on how much it rained. And this past summer we had a awful lot of rain even for the rain forest of South Texas....LOL.... Course I had to learn the hard way not to keep cuttings tooooo wet.
Since the Brugs are in the House, wash house and spa room I will just wait until they dry out enough and will start fertilizing again. I have some larger ones I got from Wannabegardener and they look like I will find a blooms any day now....they are about 4-5 ft tall. I guess they are just waiting for the weather to clear and as they go outside they will start to bloom.....hope so anyway....
You know we only have about another month of questionable weather and we will be planting again. Feb 2nd and the groundhog are coming so I will see how he does.....
photo is the bottom of the same plant.....

Willow, What do I think??....LOL
After all the dead brown stuff going on around her the last couple months.....They look green & juicy enough for a salad.......LOL
This is Tequila Sunrise, a cutting from Catsmeow (David) sent to me late last summer. I didn't get in on the last batch of cuttings he sent but don't know that I could have done better if I had. David has some wonderful plants and shares some of his best with us. I think these are some of the nicest ones I have......Another that will bloom soon as the weather is a little better and they can spend more time outside.........This one is a good 4 ft tall minus the pot...This is a 12 inch pot.
Dee
WW Congrats on your Brugs! The bright healthy green leaves and all the Y's are sure to bring you lot's of flower's, good luck and keep posting the pics. I have to say, salad is a good description....and PoppySue is a awesome gardener to share...
Hey guys - her brugs a HUGE and have asked over and over again what she is using (on her brugs - lol) and she admits to nothing other than regular fertilizer. Must be all that river water seeping into her well and she is unaware of it. HUMMMMM, wondering.....
Have heard that well water makes some difference. Father has well water and seems everything he has looks better than mine!
Hey - I have well water and ain't doin nothin for me!...lol. Then again I have alot of rust in it. She lives right off a river (the Brazos), MOF so close you can see the river from her kitchen window - really is lovely where she is.
WW - whatever you are doing keep it up so we can see some blooms!
Father has crystal clear water, but a bigger green thumb! LOL
WW you go girl!
This is a rooted Brug I got from Wanabegardener (Diana)It was about a foot tall when she sent it. There are 2 more she sent me back in the summer, One is a little smaller and the other is the same size. This one is un-named and we are just waiting to see what it will be, these are the first brugs I ever worked with.
It is planted in a half barrel and stands about 5 and a half foot tall. Before I learned how to do these I did not fertilize them until early fall....
I am really anxious to see this one bloom....
This is a really pretty plant and should be striking in my garden this year.....
Dee
So glad to see BrugAddict posting again....hi there. Yes I love my river view and the place I live at is quite and perfect for gardening.
As for any big secret on what I do to my brugs or anything else I have planted....hummmmm....don't know. And surely I would tell Moon. Guess I just have a green thumb with some things. Not all though, there are some things I couldn't get to grow if I hired a sitter.....LOL....
This is a bigger photo of the Ollie from PoppySue..
