Mary, I believe I have a few I received in a trade a couple of years ago.....I have to go to town with my DW now but I'll dig out my seed when I get back and let you know later this evening.

Thanks Donna and Big Red...just let me know about the seed. Otherwise,,Donna,,I'd love some then.

Mary, I hate to disappoint you but I can't find my Turk's Cap seed. I know I had some, received as a bonus in a seed swap, but can't find them anywhere. If I find them I'll be sure to let you know.

Again, my apoligies for getting your hopes up.

Thanks for looking for me, Big Red. Maybe Donna can send me some cuttings come spring. I would love to get one started.
Thanks again!

Mary I have the Giant Turks Cap and the small Turks Cap. They are a great hummingbird magnet. Also hoping for a pink Turks Cap from the Fl plant swap in April. If we get a warm week again I can send some cuttings then as they are both in the GH and actively growing instead of having to wait until spring.

Donna, those pictures look great! What are the growing conditions for Turks Cap? Are they at all invasive?

Robstown, TX(Zone 9a)

Donna,,

I would love some cuttings...when they are available. When youre ready,,email me,,and i'll send along my address. Great pics...and I do have alot of hummingbirds! Thanks so much.

Pin I have mine in pots in half day sun. I don't believe they are invasive. I plan on putting them in the ground in spring. Mary I will send some Mexican and African Firebush cuttings too another hummingbird favorite. They also make fruits for the birds. They both have the same kind of tubular flowers but the leaves are different on each plant.
African(pic) has narrow leaves and Mexican(Hamelia patiens) have wider leaves

Mexican -the fruit ripen to look like blueberries on both
