Over the years of cooking, I've made some doozies.
One time I had my cookbook on the back burner to read the recipe as I was going to cook. Not paying full attention,I turned on the back burner instead of the front burner, my cookbook went up in flames.(I was young)
Another time I added water to a HOT glass dish in the oven, it exploded..glass all over. (I was not so young, should have known better)
THEN one time -- in my haste to cook for company-- I grabbed the salt box instead of the sugar box and added salt to my pie, made "Salt Pie"...served it to my company and watched everyones face pucker up in shock! They never let me live salt pie down...
