Good Morning to All,
Yesterday it rained and rained all day. The cattle pasture is nothing but boot sucking mud around the hay rings, so yesterday morning I carried a few small square bales and threw over the fence. Yesterday afternoon I decided I didn't want to do that anymore and hauled out a large bale. I put the large bale on ground that wasn't muddy, but when I went to lift the hay ring with my hydraulic lift on the front of the tractor I could see I better be careful or get my tractor stuck. I now wish a thousand times I had a 4WD. But oh well. I know that my husband could move the hayring under his own power, but hated to ask him to wade through the mud. So I didn't put the ring around the bale. They really waste so much if you don't. But, a stuck tractor is a real pain.
The weather has prevented me from working on my greenhouse. That is really bumming me out. I'm not a very patient person. It is necessary for me to get into dirt to really be happy. I have many seeds waiting anxiously to be put into seed trays.
Did I ever mention that someone gave me an old mare a few months ago? She had a very sore swollen ankle. Several people told me it wouldn't get any better. Except my Sister in Law, who told me to be patient and give her time to heal. The swelling has gone down quite a bit. She doesn't favor it so much any more. Maybe in another month, she will be up to riding fence with me again.
Well, off to the barn to feed my baby goats. Then I will try to scrub up and head to the city to visit my very cute Grandson. A baby shower to go to there.
