What colors does the passion vine come in?

Lewisburg, KY(Zone 6a)

I just have the native purple that I have transpanted from my back field into the flower bed. They can be invasive I have found out.

Wow, I didn't know there was so many!

Decatur, GA(Zone 7a)

I want a red one - that's all I want. And a soft pink. A red and a soft pink, that's all I want. And, and that pink and purple one. Yea, a red, a soft pink, and a pink and purple one. That's all I want. And...

Colorado Springs, CO(Zone 6a)

hehehe. thats how i feel too pins.i'm *trying* to root a red one right now. if i have success, in the spring i'd be glad to send you a cutting.

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

LOL, pins2006. You must be a fan of the movie "The Jerk" with Steve Martin. I love the scene where he leaves saying, "...and that's all I need."

Bluegrass, not all Passifloras are agressive growers. Some are quite well-behaved, and some are tropical in nature and would not survive outdoors in your zone. Check out Logee's site too for Passifloras: http://www.logees.com/store/

Clare, The Jerk is one of my all time favorite comedies. It is so fun to get together with folks and have everyone come up with their favorite scenes from that movie.

Since I'm fairly new to DG, I wanted to know if there have been any co-ops for Passiflorias? I would love to get a variety, but the prices seem so high. I just love the looking at all the sites, though.

Jones Creek, TX(Zone 9a)

You could go to the Co-op forum and check out past Co-Op's to see if anyone has hosted one in the past. If you don't find what you want post a question and see if anyone has any intrest in hosting a Passifloria Co-Op. I would be intrested in getting some if they had a good varitiey.....

I hadn't thought of that movie in a long time, I must rent it again to share it with the grandkids.
I have some red passiflora's also that I am trying to root. I would be glad to share some cuttings also, if I am successful in getting them going.

Hi Art,
Be careful what you wish for,I planted a incarnata passiflora on the otherside of the driveway 2 years ago, this past summer it crossed some how either by underground runners or birds passing seeds, but I had it everywhere,as you can see in this pic, when I dug up and repotted my nanners to bring in for the winter, they came also.

Some of us would consider that a blessing, at least we would have blooms to look forward to. And "Roundup" will bring them under control pretty quick should the need arise.....LOL

Right now the one I have in the ground, a purple bloom that i dont have the name of, is just barely making it through winter. i had it covered for a while, but now i'm just using the 'cross my fingers' method, and hope that it will flourish come spring. not too much though, because when i move i want to take it with me!! willow, is there a texas roundup? i hear so much about the georgia one, i want to go to one!

west allis, WI(Zone 4b)

I;m trying to root cuttings of my yellow passionflower, I'll let you guys know how it goes

Jones Creek, TX(Zone 9a)

Art_in_garden, Yes there is but I have to get the info together again....I'm not real sure where it is but I read something about one last year. I think it is somewhere in the Texas Hill Country and another one here on the coast....I will check and get back to you on this...

The "Roundup" I was speaking of in the thread is the weed killer........LOL
