When opening Internet Explorer

I could use a little advice here, I recently opened a yahoo mail account, and the darn thing shows up everywhere. I got rid of the Messenger stuff, but when I open Internet Explorer, the default goes to yahoo. I used to have Google as the default, but can't remember how I did it. I don't want to see yahoo unless I ask for it, and since I already have an icon for yahoo mail on my desktop, that's enough. Anyone give me a hint in simple terms?? LOL Legit
