I'm so excited

Austell, GA(Zone 7a)

I have a bud on my 'whiskers' in the basement window. You guys know I am a novice with brugs and I excite easily over small accomplishments!! Brenda

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

congrats Brenda, this is a very nice one!!!

southern, NJ(Zone 7a)

WTG! Don't worry we all get excited about brugs doing anything New leaf, bud, seedpod, new hybrid anything :)

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

We all know the feeling. Whiskers is a pretty one.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Congrats. If you have never seen her bloom before, you will be happy.......

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

I would love to have anything blooming right now. It has been raining for about 3 days straight now, so maybe we will have a lot of blooms in the Spring. Hopefully, in about 6 weeks from now things will start budding out here. Not brugs, but other plants.

city?? lol sticks, AR(Zone 7a)

Hurrray for you :)!!!! one of the things I liked about this place right off the bat was that no one came across as self important,---no one made me feel, unbrugworthy. a bud in a window is an acomplishment IMHO. but then again, I almost wet my pants when i saw my first bud out in broad daylight so umm yeahh I get excited real easy too. good job cheryl

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Shoot,I want a pic of that bud!,right now I'd settle for a bud, nub, anything that might bloom.

Barnesville, GA(Zone 8a)

Yay Brenda! Happy for you! Did you see the pic I had of Nat's White Whiskers in her thread? Mine bloomed in my basement too, for Christmas no less!

Vi

Austell, GA(Zone 7a)

Hey Vi, yep I did see your White Whiskers. Gorgeous!!!

Actually my sister in law discovered the bud when we walked outside yesterday and she saw the bud in the window. They seem pretty happy if I could just keep them watered enough maybe others will bud too!! Should I fertilize now? Remember, ya'll, I am a novice with brugs.

Barnesville, GA(Zone 8a)

If they all have new growth, yep, I'd start! I do my cuttings 1/2 strength 1x week in the small pots.
(But I'm no expert!)

Matthews, MO(Zone 6b)

I would fertilize! I have started fertilizing here already, with a very weak solution. Try it atleast once a week, if they are in real small pots they grow so fast it doesn't take long to burn up all the energy in their little pots:) You will have blooms in no time!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Listen to Tracey, we all know Tracey gets blooms in really no time! LOL

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Even from the smallest new seedlings. Wish I had her "green thumb".

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Me too and the greenhouse that goes with it.

city?? lol sticks, AR(Zone 7a)

Tracey feeds hers steriods----------they grow at the speed of light, its prolly illegal or something lol cheryl

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Tracey does grow them fast, big and beautiful.

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

So does that mean that I can start fertilizing my well rooted cuttings that are in the house? (with weak fertilizer?) I have many that so many gracious people from here gave me and I just can't wait to see my first brug bloom! I would love to get a head-start!

Matthews, MO(Zone 6b)

Yes you can, I do that too. Just a mild dose though at first. Cheryl you weren't supposed to tell about the roids....They kick you out of the game for steriod use.
