E-Bay Brugs

Decatur, GA(Zone 7a)

Okay, I'm hooked. Who on this list sells on e-bay? I visited there today and saw prices all over the board. I'm interested in rooted cuttings instead of seeds. I would like someone reliable, and I know that I can find the right seller from some of the great enthusiasts on this forum.

Thanks so much for all the information and inspiration you've all given.

Carmen, I bought from someone on ebay with the name katskuntrykuttings or something to that effect and had a very good experience. Nestor white is also a great source, although she (he?) isn't selling anything right now.

I also bought from the same two sources. If Kathy Kort has anything available, I doubt you'll be disappointed. Those that I purchased from her were already rooted and they are doing great. Hope to buy some more from her in the spring.

Kell: Is Cala selling now? She told me she was in the process of moving and would let me know when she was back at it... Thanks, Gretchen

Everytime I go into Callas'brugmansia plants, it says there are no products in this category. How did you find out about L'Amour?

Thanks so much for the great sites. I'll definitely be ordering from them soon.

Gretchen, she is not yet ready but I think she will be selling seeds and cuttings very soon. I know some are not mailing with this cold weather. I thnk Tracey is waiting also till warm.

Gloria, email them. If they do not have one rooted yet, maybe they will put your name on one that is rooting.

I believe they are going to have incredible new ones in spring available. I have seen pictures of beautiful cuttings growing'

They both have the golden touch! Or is that the green touch? lOL

It would be a good thing if someone put together a list of DG & BGI sellers ( names on eBay) so we know who we are dealing with......JMO

Watch out for the guy on ebay who sells the brugs and uses Christmas Trees in his description. I've been to his place and it is a total catastrophe. He says they are pink and yellow (He things charles grimaldi and frosty pink), but never watches for crosses, and doesn't have anything labelled. He has cuttings in barrels all over the place full of river sand, they look good in the barrels, but die when you transplant them. They're cheap, but he is really unorganized, and hard to get ahold of. I have talked to Kuntry Kuttins (Kathy), and she will work a pretty good package deal with you if you ask her to. I"m totally a novice, so easy to burn. I'm going to ask the forum before buying form ebay too.

Murrells Inlet, SC(Zone 8a)

I have bought on ebay from Nestor and was pleased except for the fact that he does not use any packaging material whatsoever. The cuttings are placed dry and loose in the box and that's how he ships. The cuttings he sent were quite large and did survive,I just wasn't used to having things shipped to me that way.

I have also bought from and been given plants by Susie and she sends very nice quality well rooted plants. Everyting I have gotten from her has been correctly labled and has performed very well.

Tracey at Angels By Ashley also sends very nice well rooted plants, all being properly labled. She is currently offering L'Amour for sale and is the only U.S. source that I know of at the moment that has rooted cuttings of it readily available for sale. And her asking price of $40 is CHEAP,CHEAP,CHEAP considering how scare the plant is.
I paid $70 for mine that I won on an ebay auction.

The only other sources i've used for brugs is the members right here at Daves and BGI. In the spring and fall of each year you should be able to rack up on some cuttings as many of the members have excess that they need or want to get rid of. A lot of us do a cuttings for postage type thing about once a year so be on the lookout for something like that.
Good luck brug hunting!

You all are too sweet! I was afraid that was too pricey, I need to get with Dave to figure out the Scifi store.
