Gorgeous color Alice. I love this brug. You are so lucky to be able to watch your brugs bloom and gather enjoyment from them and we are lucky that you share with us. Thanks so much.

Many hybrids have paler colors in the winter. Maya is one of these exceptions. Beautiful color, Alice!

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

That is one gorgeous brug Alice! Keep them coming.

Kell ... your photos always have us begging for more.

'Greenbank' is a green sport of 'Snowbank'. Hyperlink top of this trread explains.
Not my hybrid, but sported in my nursery.
The name was suggested by Terra Nova who developed 'Snowbank'. And I agreed. ha

'Snowbank' is supposed to be developed from variegated 'Sunset' ..similar but different to 'Maya'.
Monika, you are right. You can really tell who is related to who 'Maya'wise in the change to dark winter colour.
'Maya', 'Sunset', 'Greenbank', and Snowbank sport #2 are all blooming this shade right now.
'Snowbank' has a few buds about to open and should bloom darker, too.
I love this colouration right now. Just soooooo rich!
What is most impressive about Greenbank to me is it's massive size and perfect form.
I have never shaped it. All of its own it grew to a perfct tree.

Kell, your brugs and pix alwaysa look so great. Do not be sick seeing mine. LOL
I am enjoying in the dead of winter here. And just want other to partake my enjoyment.
Thanks everyone (o:

Alice, your brug is so beautiful! I am so new to brugs. I never knew they bloomed in the winter - and a different color at that!!

Decatur, GA(Zone 7a)

Is it even possible for a brug to flower in a glassed in porch (eastern exp., no heat, but in northern Georgia) to bloom if we have no greenhouse? Just asking...wistfully... :-)

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

What do I need to do to make mine bloom in the gh? They look good, just no blooms.

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

Hi pins2006 ..
Yes, they can bloom where you have yours if they are mature enough or the right wood to bloom.
Like tip cuttings. Some tip cuttings will bloom when the plant is still small.
I have had tip cuttings bloom while still rooting ..lol
My friend's have been blooming in an enclosed unheated patio with big windows.

lhughes ..
Have you fertilized lately? If going good, a little fertilizer can bring them blooming.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Oh heavens Alice, I would never be sick of SEEING your brug pics!! I am just sick of typing the same words over and over again when I see your great photos. I sound so boring. I think I will try to come up with more interesting comments!

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

I hope, your area not affected by the freeze.
