Yes I love them too,mine has bloomed 3 different times this year,and thats was a first time for that to happen,after 7 yrs from a cutting,the plant is huge now.

Thanks, people. I took this rare ocasion to observe this flower more carefully. I noticed that it has a "track" made of stamens, where beetles (atracted by the smell) can land on and crawl inside the long tube after nectar. When it comes out, itīs all covered with pollen, and will fertilize the next flower. I noticed some longer stamens next to the petals, far away from the beetles' path that I didnīt figure out how they work.

Itīs not just an amazing plant, itīs a fascinating nocturnal biology class :^D Iīm enchanted :^)

Thank you for sharing that with us.. I also love Epi's. Mine are almost one year old and growing, don't know when I will see blooms. You are so lucky..It is beautiful.. About 8 months ago, a friend gave me a cutting with a bloom on it so that I could see at least one bloom and here it is.. That is the only one that I have had bloom.
