Monterey, Is this a vining plant? Where can you get either plant or seed? It is beautiful, & a "must have"!!
This plant is everywhere here. They must have them in Florida. you're in 10 ,your local nursery should have it. It is evergreen shrub.Look in the Sunset Western Garden Book page 633.
P.S. If you want ,also go to montereybaynursery.com click on online catalog then go to T scroll down to Tibouchina Urvilleana. They have close-up ,and habit shots very cool site!Later Monterey.

Do you bring it in for winter? How ,if you do, does it get enough to grow.I would like to have it cover my part of my fence, but I think I will containerize it.That way I can move it for the most effect.Look at the Monterey Bay Nursery site for other great pics.Monterey.
I bring mine in for the winter. It is in the basement at about 55 degrees, maybe a little warmer and under lights. It's putting on new leaves right now. I know it would get much bigger if I put it in the ground, but I seem to kill things when I have to dig them up for winter storage and just carrying a pot to the basement doesn't seem to stress the plant as much. LOL
