'Tiara' in Winter

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

She is blooming just beautifully right now.
Winter colour completely different from summer colouration.
Ice patterns on the glass and winter sun slipping into the valley and highlighting the blooms make photographing this time of year different and just wonderful (o:

Wow, just beautiful. I wish my husband would let me heat my greenhouse in the winter. I'm hoping for a warm up in February so I can get my plants back in so they will start growing. What do you use to heat your greenhouse? Cathy

Beautiful picture, Alice! Some hybrids do like to surprise. Tiara doesnt have such a rich color in the summer!

The days become longer with each day - exactly 4 minutes LOL

I wish there was a way to push spring to arrive sooner. I'm so ready to get outside and play in the dirt.

Alice, that is a gorgeous picture. How warm do you keep your glass house? It seems that the brugs love it.

Why can't I have a Tiara blooming now too??? Wahhhhhhhhhhhh

Alice, do you pollinate in the winter? If you do, do you find pods take as well as they do in the summer?

Our temp got down to 18 last night with a wind chill of 9. It dropped down to 41 in my gh. haven't been out to check anything yet so hope all is well in there.

Summer colour is cream.
You can tell related to Sunset as blooming same way, too.

The winter colours are so neat!

Kell, I like pollenating in winter. No competition with bugs.
Crosses seem to 'take' just fine (o:

Heat is set to come on at 55ª. But has been even lower lately with so cold temps here.
Thermostat is into the glasshouse. Corners and ends upper 40ªs.
Greenbank is in one of the corners .. blooming her heart out. ha
