My Susie baby

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

x Rosamond
Im so glad it got the leaves of Daddy! This is one of the very 1st brugs I started from seed.
Thank you Susie! I am SO anxious, and hoping for a beauty!
I should have clipped the yucky leaves off, before I snapped the pic, but Im not taking any chances.

Editing to ask, any ideas on how to make the trunk straight? Should I start staking already??

Keep turning it Shelly. How tall is it, about 8 inches, or more? It will straighten up some and would straighten a lot with a light close over the top of it. You are doing good!!

Thanks Shirley, it is about 9 inches, I keep turning it, but the leaves just go to the light, not the stem! I started it on 10/20... is that slow to grow? Like I said, this is my 1st one from seed that is this size.
This was pre-rockwool too! LOL it just makes me sick, that I lost so many before the rockwool.

Join the crowd Shelly. I lost a lot of seedlings due to overwatering, too dry etc. Hoping rockwool is the answer!
Keep us posted on what it turns out to be.

You know I will Gloria!! lol

So pretty! It looks so healthy! I would think it will straighten up when the light is overhead.

Rockwool hopefully will make it so much easier on us!

Healthy looking baby!! I just stake mine with a bamboo skewer and twist tie. :) Don't twist them tight, just around the stem.

Thanks Badseed! If its not any straiter within a few more inches, I will go ahead and stake.
Im so excited! I already love the leaves! :o)

Here she is now... I have HUGE expectations for this one! LOL (its my 1st, it will be perfect no matter what) :o)

Ok, well you cant really tell from the pic, but its about 3 inches taller, and the leaves are SO much bigger! I love the leaves! (I even love her crooked little stem)

Congrats Shelly. Hope she turns out to be a beauty

Such beautiful leaves!! I had some growing crooked so I followed Chele's advice and used a skewer with a velcro tie. Thanks Chele, it worked just great! And they look so cute also!
