Maybe it will go ahead and open some of the buds. Mine did after a couple of hard frosts.

Poor baby! But look at all them seed pods!!! :~) Which variety of Brug is it???

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Man, I must need glasses. I don't see any seed pods, only bloom buds. Point me in the right direction Shirley1.

I hope those open up for you, Kell. It sure would be nice to have all those flowers now! Which brug is it?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

We are sure getting a lot of Shirley's around here. Guess we will have to start using your method of IDing ourselves when we write. LOL!! I think I have seen one or two more Shirley's on the forums too. I know there is one more over at BGI.

Come back Kell. Which one is it? We are all dieing here, waiting for the answer.

What are you doing? Peeling brug seeds? Me too, having new seedlings popping up already in rockwool. Planted on
1-4-04.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Sounds like you are having success Gloria. Way to go. Tonight is Kell's sushi night...in case she doesn't stop in soon..

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Accckkkk..forgot about Friday being sushi night.

I am so thrilled to see sedling popping up in this rockwool, never saw anything like it. Hope everyone else has good luck with theirs'.

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

Gloria,
.......thanks for the encouraging news about the rockwool.
I just planted all the brug and canna seeds I have left.
............I like the idea, until I can get something else set up instead of planting in the kitchen. The RW cubes are a lot cleaner for now. I think I will order more if it performs as well for me (-;
..............Pretty soon we all need to do the "Happy-Butt Spring Dance"...............LOL

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

Sorry about that Kell, Brugie & fellow Brug lovers....must have been drinkin' too much saki and gazing into my crystal ball...thinkin' seed pods instead of flower buds!!! (LOL!!)

Hey Kell....is that your "secret" to growin' your Brugs extra big with tons of BUDS??? Are you doin' like the Indians did when they planted their crops of corn??? Savin' some of your sushi are you???? Do tell.....! :~)

Tonasket, WA(Zone 5a)

Kell, when you come back, I wanted to tell you how neat it was in your brug photo to see the great structure of your large brug tree. Some time I hope to have something like that, of course with blooms. Donna

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I am wondering if it could be Big Yella?

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

I was wondering the same thing Badseed. I have a cutting from Kell of her Big Yella and it is the largest of all my cuttings. It is growing with leaps and bounds! Thanks Kell!!!
