Are there any statistics for how many seedlings might make it to adult planthood? I grew B Sanguinea and out of 10 seeds, only 3 sprouted, and of the 3, only 1 didn't rot. I also have 2 other types of brug seeds I'm sprouting. For those of you who grow brug seeds, how many of each variety do you keep? I mean, do you grow them all out, wait for them to bloom, and then decide which ones to keep?
I have around 10 little sprouts, but I imagine they'll become big sprouts, then plants, then big plants (that is, if I treat 'em right). If the seeds all came from the same pod, will the plants all be the same with the same look, habit, flowers?
The seeds are sprouting...now what?
Grow as many as you have room for. What they will look like is just a guess. Some will look nearly the same, but you may have some that are totally different. That is the reason you want to grow as many of each kind as you can. Your chances of getting a "keeper" increase with larger numbers of seedlings.
