Note ...This should be a very chunky soup.
.....First brown lightly......
1 C. rough chopped onion
in some cooking oil
Add............
1 1/2 # lean ground beef
Brown and leave in chunky pieces
Add all else ,except rice...........
4 med. Green or red bell peppers..cut in 1 in. pieces
2 Lg.cans diced or crushed tomatoes
1 - 2 cans of water
4 Tbs. beef stock powder or other seasoning
1 tsp. crushed celery seeds
1 - 2 tsp. hot pepper flakes
1 1/2 tsp. fresh ground pepper
2 Bay Leaves
Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.........
Add COOKED rice and simmer for 5 minutes longer.....

Cooked brown (or white) Rice from 1 cup raw....
cooked according to package directions
Remove the bay leaves and serve soup with some good 'Dunkin' Bread'
