Here's some seed on the ground to show what size color it is (here in Los Angeles)- can be messy

How long did the seed stay on the tree before falling ?

About a month, more or less... this is a large tree and it's continuously making seed, so seed drop is intermittent and year round.

I wonder if mine will ever fall. The tree is about 6 years old. I was cutting the blossoms off but I left one that came out last September/October. It just has a stalk of green seeds about the size of a ping pong balls. I've tried pulling them off but they are still stuck on good. Do you think there is any chance these will mature ?

What climate are you in? If in zone 9b or higher, very good chance... takes a while to ripen, though. Need to wait until orange. Be sure this tree is getting watered well- likes LOTs of water if you want healthy fruit (the tree in the photo above gets watered nearly every day)

Thanks ....
I'm in Houston, I think that's zone 9. I've only watered during the dry parts of summer, seems like I need to water more, oops .....
