I think I will keep it

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

This is the Arborea I was thinking of trashing last fall.It took more than two years to bloom but now has bloomed 3 times since the weather cooled. It's covered with buds this time. This one certainly doesn't like hot weather.

My Arborea has really performed this winter. It always is in bloom when my other brugs only activity is dreaming of spring. Grown alot also this winter.

Yours is sure pretty.

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

Very beautiful flower with lovely long tendrils. What a wonderful treat to have this Brug blooming during the winter months!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

JT, don't you just love the fragrance on this one? Mine didn't like the hot weather either, but did bloom in the fall. Now, it is doing very little. Maybe storing up energy to make it through another summer. She is a pretty little gal.

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

A winter bloomer just could be the reason to keep this one (-:

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

I love it ... it is so pretty.

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

I was lucky,Brugies was blooming while I was there, this one tops my keeper list.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Love it, such long tendrils and smells good even!

On my want list!

Matthews, MO(Zone 6b)

I love this one too! The scent reminds me of Grape Koolaid. It is a horrible thing to root though! I think I got about 80% out of the first batch, are you having better luck rooting it JT?

new keyboard yuck!

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm, grape kool-aid?? I'd keep it just for that scent! LOL It looks like a pretty little starfish.

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

Tlynn,I havn't tried to root this one.I gave cuttings to
Arlene,DonnaB and Tig at the Ga roundup. At that time I planned to compost what was left.Maybe one of them had some luck rooting the cuttings. It is easy from seed. This one has a seedpod on it already.Selfed of course.
Brugie, yes, the scent is wonderful.Grape Kool-Aid does sound close.
Kell,Where is your plant from?Mine came from Tonny before the import ban.If there is a US source I think there would be some interest.I would propagate and add it to my website but it suffers here.Maybe the seedlings will do better.

Matthews, MO(Zone 6b)

I have 42 rooted small ones, I think this one need warmer longer days to root, I have some seeds, just haven't started them yet. Maybe I can get to that this week, the flu has taken its toll here this month.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Gee I can't remember JT. It has really flourished here. I went out at 8 and it was covered in a light sheet of ice, buds and all! Though I have a feeling it will be fine. I have rooted it with no problem at all!

Very pretty there JT!

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

JT, my plant came from Susie and she told me the mamma plant was from you. Is it the same one from Tonny?

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

Yes,the one I gave Susie was one from Tonny.Funny...I said I had not tried to root this one but I was forgetting that the original purchase from Tonny was three cuttings. They rooted just fine.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Is it 'Ida'?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Gosh, if it is Ida, I would love to get a start from someone some time. It is supposed to be more heat tolerant.

Panhandle, FL(Zone 8a)

So JT, this is for real and not a joke? I keep falling for them!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

mine rooted JT

Matthews, MO(Zone 6b)

That is where mine came from, Susie, I mean. I wonder if maybe it needs to be alittle warmer to root better, I may try to put a few on the heated bench.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

the one I got from Susie has a bud.......I'm holding my breath......with my luck I switched tags with a frosty...LOL

The good thing is it has lambs ears leaves.....it matches another one that I think Shirley sent me

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Did I send you a seedling maybe? I know I've not sent cuttings. If it has lambs ears leaves, you have it tagged right. They are so soft when they first grow out.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

yup,it was a seedling,you sent it with the EE"S I think

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

Yep Connie, this ones real.It has a lot to recommend it for folks with a little cooler weather.
Poppysue and Brugie,I don't think this one is Ida.Eric had Ida at one time.I think it was more cream.
I also have 3 seedlings that should bloom next year.We shall see.

city?? lol sticks, AR(Zone 7a)

the shape is graceful-------delicate,------wish our summers were a little cooler :S. its a nice switch from the more volumptuos blooms.

Murrells Inlet, SC(Zone 8a)

Kell, the one you sent me is doing very good. It came the day after I left to go out of town and was bone dry but perked right up after being watered.
It dropped a few leaves but is starting to put on new ones already.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

JT, the one Tonny was sending was Ida. He sent me three also but I lost them in just a little while.

Matthews, MO(Zone 6b)

Cheryl mine did fine here it just needs a little more shade, when the heat is on! The blooms are just wonderful! I don't know how far down in Ark. you are, but it is worth the try. E-mail me, I see if we can fix you up.

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

Tig,it's good to know it has a name. Thanks

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

So then it is Ida? Well... that would be cool! Tonny sent me some Ida pollen to put on it - LOL! I have a sang from Liz's seeds that keeps dropping it's buds. I really, really want to cross the two.
