Hi I have a question. My Lab Molly had perfectly fine ears the other day, then she was wimpering and scratching at her right ear earlier. She has a history or red, blotchy, swollen ears which is treated by the Vet with an ointment called Ottomax, but this was different. He ears contained some kind of black substance in her outer canal. I used ear cleaner to clean then and the rest of it was muddy brown and it was EVERYWHERE. I live on a military post where the Vet has been closed over the holidays, but I will take her as soon as I can. Does anyone have any idea what this may be? Thank you for your time!
