Last week I was about ready to buy a new CPU, becasue my system was so slow. It took a mountain of time to get the photos associated with the NY Times.

After tinkering around with Windows XP, defragmenting, virus scanning, Norton CleanSweep and fiddling with the internet options, I decided to leave the system on 24/7, and that has made a world of difference. It seems to be stable and perky. Kimberly had some good ideas for me. I do not have a clue what made the big difference.

I visited Circuit City yesterday and looked at the pricy new flat monitors which I hope will come down in price before too long. I can hardly wait.
