Have you adopted a pound puppy?

I have adopted three dogs from the Humane Society since I came here in '97. I was browsing the petfinder org and came across the local Humane society and thought I would give them an update on the pets I got from them. I attached a picture of them playing together and sent it off to the email address given. I wasn't sure whether they would even respond.
I was surprised when I got a personal reply saying how happy she was that I had sent her an update and that she was going to share the email with the staff and board!
More than I could have expected.
So I am sending this to tell you to try the same thing. So many of you have shared your pictures of the pets you adopted with Dave's gardeners.I bet your adoption agency of choice would be thrilled to see their little charges at home in a forever home. It takes special people to work in those places and see dogs and cats that are sometimes put to sleep because there are just too many homeless and not enough homes to go to.

Rita - THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for these pics! It is SO wonderful to see pics of the babies we love and nurture at the shelter - but not NEAR AS WELL as they get in homes like yours!

God Bless you for adopting these 3 babies from us - and THANK YOU again for keeping us updated. I wish there were more folks in the world just like you! I will make sure our staff, and some of the board members, see this email. It is so nice to hear happy endings!

By the way, when did you adopt Lucy? I was wondering if that is the same Lucy I absolutely fell in love with! If it is - she SURE LOOKS BETTER and happy - and not a BIT shy!!!
