I'd be bored ...

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

if it weren't for my bugs! This is what happens when you're a bad brug mommy and don't pay enough attention to your plants.

Great photo! You have the best camera... Don't feel so bad, I had aphids on my cuttings that are sitting NEXT to the kitchen sink. I've been to lazy to wash them off until today. How bad is that? Winter is DRIVING ME NUTS this year. Nothing is helping.

Seems like you turn your back for one minute and BAM...

***BUG EXPLOSION!!***

Wow! These photos are amazing. They sure look a lot different up close than just seeing them as tiny dots on the bottom of the leaves.
Hope you caught them in time Sue before they infested all your plants.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

It's funny... the camera can see them better than my eyes can. This plant just got hosed down in the shower and sprayed down with Avid. I didn't see any on the other plants near it but they'll get sprayed just in case. I'd like to get all the buggy critters taken care of once and for all!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

take pics again and see if you got them and their eggs Sue.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Wow Sue, those are some great photos. I know my eyes couldn't see them that well without help.

Ellabell, GA(Zone 8a)

Great photos!
I'm bored too but not quite to the point where I'm photographing mites. I don't think my camera could do that if I wanted to anyway.
I hope you got rid of them all.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Do not know how you make those fantastic pictures, but very good job! I can see them slightly, then have to get the magnifying glass. Can you believe those things? Where do they come from? Hope you got rid of them.....forever!

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

Wow, that's incredible photography. My eyes can't see them that well either. I'll try next time with my camera.

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

Excellent photos!!! I enjoy seeing all the differnt bugs, and what they can do to the brugs, and their habits.
I know its a bit of a pain for you Sue, but thank you for sharing the pictures... it helps me learn.

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Thankfully not a bug to be seen yet here

Those were helpful photos - I have the same at my house!! It will give me something to do other than eating.....

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

I've been having a bad time with aphids this year,I sprayed with all kinds of stuff and because of my hours I haven't been able to get out to the GH except on Sundays.

2 weeks a go I freaked out cause some of my seedlings and some others special ones were covered with them 3 days after I sprayed. So I grabbed a container of Sevien dust and dusted EVERYTHING......

....not an aphid is stiring...not in my green house.....

They look stupid all covered in dust but it worked!Today I'm going to hose them down to wash the dust off,and re dust next week......

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

The pictures are excellent poppysue. Because of the cool to cold temperatures on my winterhouse, spider mites are no problem. Aphids are hatching now and the population just explodes.
In this long and hot summer, I had the worst spider mite infestation since I have Brugmansias. In the spring I will spray the plants with sulphur against fungus. It damages also the winter stadium of spider mites.

Dayton, OH(Zone 5a)

Now those photos belong in a book about fighting bugs in brugs! Thanks for sharing and for everyone's ideas. I'm fighting either spider mites or aphids. Think they might be aphids after seeing your photo, Sue.
