horse bedding

I was doing some much needed chores today by rebedding my horse stalls. I had stripped my stalls in the past few days and got out today and picked up 3 pickup loads of shavings for my stalls. I know my horses will appreciate them when they have to stay inside again because of inclement weather. I strip my stalls at least once yearly and rebed them at that time.
What do you all use for bedding in your stalls? I use pine shavings in mine. I only stall my horses when they are eating and when the weather makes it necessary. Robbie
