Traditional New Years Meals?

Southwestern, OH(Zone 6b)

My family has always had more of a tradition with the New Years Day meal, more so than Christmas or Thanksgiving.
On New Years Day, we ALWAYS have, Pork Spare Ribs and Sauerkraut, Mashed Potatoes the other sides vary, as do the desserts with exception of a Chocolate Cake, but my mom always said we ate Ribs and Kraut on New Years Day for good luck in the coming year, that combined with burning a Bayberry Candle.

I know a lot of people have black eyed peas and greens too, we don't.

Just wondering what everyone else's "traditional" meals are.
