Frannie, I hope your day was a great one. The kids are still here and won't be leaving until Saturday around noon, so I may be a bit busy for a while yet. I'm so full that I can hardly move. Everyone is watching a movie right now, so I'm getting a break.

city?? lol sticks, AR(Zone 7a)

ever notice that gardeners tend to be cat peopl? but you see so few people cats? my cat pretty much loves herself and thats about it. lol but she is a mean mouser and she has no front claws and is around 11 years old.

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

Shes a beautiful protecter there Fran! LOL
I also hope you had a wonderful Christmas!

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Sweet, I'm a cat lover also. Hope you had a good day. We are starting in all over again tomorrow with other son and family from Illinois coming in.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Katie really is a personable cat. She spends quite a bit of time on my lap while I am at the computer. Some days, she follows me around more than others. For instance, if I am cleaning a bedroom, she will come in there and lay down until I am finished. With the nice weather the past couple of weeks, she has been up in the window quite a bit with my seeds containers. She still has a typical cat attitude at times and does not want me bothering her. . lol

We got Lisa a Olympus 560 digital because she has been wanting one. She was really surprised because we also got all the extras for it. You would not believe the number of pictures she took today.

Oh Gloria, I don't know if I could start over tomorrow and I did not do that much.

Brugie, we fixed a few side dishes and took them to Amy's house. It was a fun filled day but I was tired by 4:30 and we came home. Brugie, enjoy those kids . . Saturday will come too soon!

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

I need such a nice protector like yours Katie. Minka checks my seed boxes every day and tries to remove the saran wrap.

Ewing, KY(Zone 6a)

Frannie that is so cute. She knows you have some good seeds there to protect.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Busted.. Katie got caught up in a walmart bag due to snooping around. You know she owns everything in the house, even my 15 year old yorkie, In which Muffie used to be the boss. Muffie's crown has been taken away... LOL

I'd be scard if I walked in your gh and saw that mouth wide open like that.
Katies a nice looking cat,i'll have to get pics of my lion and post on here.
His name is brutus and he has a full main like a lion, long coat and fuzzy tail.
In the spring I think i'm gonna get him a lion cut. I think is what they call it.
Shaved except for ankles, main and tip of tail

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Brutus sounds like a very pretty cat. I bet he is big also.

Murrells Inlet, SC(Zone 8a)

I'll try and get a pic of him (Brutus) today for posting on here.
Seems like alot of us brug people are also cat people.
I've always had cats as far back as I can remember as a child. And the earliest I can go back is 3 years old and I remember the cat we had then. His name was Ell Bee.
Brutus is a big boy and a lap baby also.

Very Handsome indeed, Looks like a Maine Coon Cat somewhere in his family.
.............Love them =)

Murrells Inlet, SC(Zone 8a)

His father was just a long haired feral cat in the neighborhood and his mother is a short haired silver and black tabby rescue cat that I saved from my job. He had 2 brothers and 3 sisters in his litter. Four short hair and 2 long hair. Three were tabbies like the mom,one of those having long hair and the other 3 were siamese looking, one of those with long hair and all 3 with crystal blue eyes, and cocoa colored feet, tail, ears and face mask.
Sitting here typing this and guess who just jumped up in my lap?
Who else but Brutus?

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Brutus is a handsome cat! He sure looks like a small lion!
This is Peter, a norwegian forest cat. They are the smaller relatives of the Maine Coons. He will be 14 years old.

Peter is a beautiful cat Monika. His tail looks real fuzzy like my cats. I wanted to get a pic of him from behind so everyone could see just how big his tail is.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

David, Brutus sure does look like he has a lion mane. He is a good looking cat.

Monika, Peter sure is marked pretty and I would have never thought he was that old. Life sure does agree with him at your house. Do he and Minka get along?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Monika and David, your cats are gorgeous. I can see the tail on Brutus and it looks pretty fluffy and long.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Thank you! Shirley, Peter was like your Baby when he was a kitten! He would grab anything to carry it and run around in the house with it. That could have been a toothbrush, socks or even underwear, when I did the laundry. He did the craziest things. Today, he is an old man. He sleeps most of the day. He ignores Minka. He feels being to old for playing. Minkas playmate is Fritzchen and when she has him worn out, Frank is her next victim.
Liz, kell and catsmeow will agree with me: we are all well trained! Now its your turn to be trained LOL!

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

All beautiful kitties. I didn't know you had a weegie Monika. I had a huge Maine Coon. They are so loving.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I couldn't get old Nick to open his eyes in all 20 pics I took last night. Even in the ones in which he was sitting up in! I think he thought if he did not see the camera, it was not there. LOL. But he looks just like your Peter, Monika but darker.

David, Brutus is a big beauty! I am going to say that 5 times fast.

Kell, our kitten looks just like your cat. If she will continue to mature looking the way she does now anyway. I love the markings. Okay...here is something that I wonder about.....Is it possible that in all of her antics in the brug cuttings (batting at the leaves and shredding them) that she gets the stuff on her paws, licks it, and it is causing a reaction that makes her go nuts? She acts possessed sometimes. Right now, she is worn out and sleeping, but she has been in high gear since seven this morning.

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

Brugie,
...Truthfully she needs a pal kitty......lololol
Really........ then they wear each other out and sleep.
.........BUT....almost all healthy pre-middle age cats go into what is called "The Midnight Crazies"
The thing is they all seem to have thier own built in clock, for my kitties start the behavior around 10 PM.

I love my critters, big & small

Shirley, I can't help but like this little one, but the challenge is too big for me. I think she is going to have to go to my daughter's farm where there are other cats. Will see what the next couple of days bring...maybe some good sleep would help. Me, not the kitten.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Shirley, I hate to hear that she has gotten you so worn out. If you can't get a good night sleep, then I certainly understand why you are tired. I think she would like the farm where she could run and play with the other cats. You and Jim just have to talk about it and decide what is best.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Gee Brugie, maybe the brug is doing it to her. I know they are constantly licking their paws. They do have lots of energy when young. I remember when we had kittens, one broke her leg and was in a full cast and still could climb the drapes to the ceilig. They do calm down fairly soon!

Part of it is, she is learning the skills she needs to survive outside. My cats can climb a tree in a second and love to lay on my roof to sun. This morning I saw 2 of mine fighting on my neighbor's roof.

If only you could hang on till the weather is warmer. Mine all spend their days outdside so when they come in they are happy to cuddle and sleep. They use up their energy outside.
