Too bad it is so late in the season, a freeze will get them. I have pods hanging all over the yard....oh well.
Looky here!
Big pods, can you protect them from frost? Which brug is it?
We will have a real freeze soon so I can't protect them and I don't know one brug from another, all I know is it is white!
That happens here also, ready to bloom, time for a frost. If I bring inside, the shock makes everything drop off.
Bummer!
I know it, sometimes mother nature just insists on having her way!
Sorry that you can't get to see the bloom. We are way beyond you here in chilly zone 5. thankgoodness for my PB in the greenhouse. Happy Holidays to you all. Donna
What a rip off? sorry weeds :S cheryl
Can't hurt to try cutting it off and rooting in water with the pod still attached. Nothing to lose anyway.
Brugie thats what I was just thinking. You really need to try at least one weeds that way if it dosnt make it you dont feel that youve wasted alot of time or space and you just might get some seeds. I know I would try it.
how long will your freeze be for? If it is just a day or so, cover it wilh a towel! or even string Christmas lights around it.
Thanks for all the information and tips. I will try to save some of them using both methods. Sometimes we have a freeze that lasts a few nights but not so far, I think it will get colder soon. I still have blooms on some of my plants that are kinda protected, especially the white stuffed one. It has bloomed so much this year!
