Tis the Season! Right? You know sometime one just has to laugh but I am having a hard time right now. My billfold was stolen this afternoon while I was in Sams. Yes I was a ditz. I had my purse open and they must have reached right in and pulled it out. However, I don't remember walking away from it so they must have been pretty sneaky and did it while I turned and picked something up. I realized it as I was checking out of the store. Let me tell you Sams was not very helpful with the exception of the woman who checks id's as you walk in and one person at the customer service center. I called the police and immediately started calling credit card companies. Within a time frame of a half hour, they racked up $500 at Walmart and attempted another $400 at Walmart but the credit card declined that charge because a "red flag went up" because it was unusual activity. In fact the credit card company called me at home before I even called them. They also charge $800 at Toys R Us and then tried to use my government purchase credit card to get $400 out of an ATM machine but they didn't have a PIN. I was very impressed with the credit card companies how they worked with me and I will not be responsible for any of this. The police woman I worked with said they will also check the security camera at the ATM machine but I have a feeling it is not someone local because all these locations are located pretty close to the Interstate and they did their Christmas shopping and headed home. So lesson learned - keep your purse on you and keep it closed. It could have been worse though as I had my business checkbook and my home checkbook and to me that would have been harder to work with. Actually, as of now, the only cash loss was about $5 and my nice billfold and the cost to replace my license. (At least I pray that's all that this will cost me.) I worry a bit about my home address on my license. I think I will tell the neighbors to

On a good note - my dad is getting out of the hospital tomorrow but they have started him on insulin. I worry about he will handle that. But will let it rest in God's hands.

I need to go finish laundry - you have a good night and have a Merry Christmas if I don't talk to you again.
