Hazel: I love that pear! I want to buy one -- where did you find it??? Gretchen

San Antonio, TX(Zone 8b)

Gretchen, I have not seen one for sell, but I bet I can obtain an offshoot or two in January from this one from my new friends who own the plant.

Reminds me of an old fashioned fabric...dotted swiss. Looks lovely.

I am glad you said that! I kept thinking it reminded me of something, but never came up with what. That's exactly what it looks like, a lovely color of dotted swiss. My mind has been a wee bit clambreds ... oops, I mean scrambled, lately. My husband says it has always been a little off kilter. Well, I guess a wee bit isn't too bad.

Hazel: thank you! that would be great, if she'll part with a piece of it! Many blessings to you and your family on this wonderful holiday!

There are numerous new plants emerging many of which appear to have been self-seed propagated, but I am not sure of this.

Jacksonville, IL(Zone 5a)

Neat plant! Very striking and a real standout in the garden I would expect. Thanks for the picture.

Your welcome, roshana. It does standout very nicely planted in front of the other cacti in this bed.
