Netscape 7.1 on PC ... won't retrieve mail

Well, gang, this time I'm asking for my DH, who just downloaded Netscape 7.1 (Windows 98). We'd entered all of the ISP info just as we have them setup for the Mac (usually used by me), but the app refuses to accept the same POP password. This makes absolutely no sense to us, and we're such newbies w/PC's, I'd like to ask if we are simply overlooking some magic step to use it. DH is considering dumping it altogether, since it's not doing what he'd wanted it for.. retrieving email..he HATES OE. sigh. Any help??
