Pecan Balls??

My Grandma used to make what she called Pecan Balls. It was a cookie dough, I think it might have had chopped pecans in it, she rolled the dough in balls,(the size of a Walnut) and pressed a pecan half down in the center before baking, squashing out the cookie while pressing the half in.

Does anyone have a clue what I'm talking about? I have just about all of her recipes, but I don't have that one.

Off to make Date Balls now. Thanks for your help in advance!
