Use that ham glaze!

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

I always forget to put that powered glaze on my hams til it's too late, but hate to toss it. We discovered a neat and delicious way to use it up. After all, it is only sugar, cloves and maybe cinnamon.

Spiced pecans

Put the glaze mix in a large skillet, add 1/4 cup of water and a little salt. Bring this to a boil and boil to the "hard ball" stage, about 8-10 min.
Then add pecans or other nuts and stir to cover them all with the mixture. Then pour onto a greased cookie sheet. Separate them with a spoon, etc. and they will dry and harden to a neat treat!!
