Here are a few species I have seen hanging around Los Angeles and no one seems to know what species any of them are... anyone know?

palmbob,
Not to change the thread but is that a Staghorn Fern in the background of the first photo?

Yes, the both growers of the Rhipsalis in those photos are avid plant collectors and have a number of varieties of Staghorns (Platyceriums)... one has about 100 huge ones on his property from all over the world... I can't keep all the varieties straight. I am not a Platycerium expert. But here's a nice one (variety of P hillii):

palmbob,
Thanks for the shot!
If you have any more fell free to email me any more you have.
I was amazed when we went to the Santa Barbara Zoo and saw the staghorns there. They had totally blanketed some of the trees there.
I've never had any luck w/ them but love looking.

I have most of the Rhipsalis that you show. I live in the San Fernando Valley, you would be welcome to come over and use my small collection for reference. Also Bill Baker knows these plants well, I believe he was one of the collectors many years ago for the Huntington Gardens. Also the Huntinton Gardens has a collection all documentated, you may want to visit there to ID these plants ask for John Trager, and tell them you are my guest at the front gate. Norma
