I have one of these EXACT same plants... And I tried clipping off a piece and putting it in water and trying to root it... but it has been in the for about a couple of months now... and it STILL didn't grom any root! What can I do to make more out of just one plant? Can I dig up the roots... and get some bulbs from the ground where it is growing?

Sassytiger,
I would continue to try to root it in water, but it may root faster for you in the spring when the weather is warmer and when it is actively growing. You could also try to dig up a rooted portion of the vine or try the layering method. This vine is a slow-grower so it might be a slow-rooter as well. I don't think this vine is started from bulbs, but I could be wrong. I've never tried to propagate this vine. Good luck!

That's how I got this plant... from a bulb!

Oh, I didn't know that! Then yes, if you dig up some of the roots, then you should be able to divide them to propagate them:-)
