Black Cherry Congealed Salad! YUM, Ask Mollybee!!

Temple, GA(Zone 7b)

This was ny mom's favorite recipe at the holidays before she passed away! So try it! It is not like one of those Jell-o congealed salads, you may be thinking of, it is awesome. ASk Mollybee. She loves it!!!!!

1. 3 pkgs. of small Black Cherry Jell-o
2. Coca-cola
3. 1- 15 oz. of can of Dark pitted cheries (not the pie filling) and that is the only size I've ever seen, so a lil more or less doesn't matter. If you can only find a 12 oz or 16 oz can, no biggie. Drain and save the juice in seperate bowl.
4. 2 1/2 pkgs. of Cream Cheese
5. 1/2 cup pecans (chopped finely) Or whatever you like best
6. 1-15oz. can of crushed pineapple, drained(Save juice in
a seperate bowl from chery juice
7. Mix cherry juice w/enough coke to make 3 1/2 cups
Put in a med size sauce pan and get hot-DO NOT BOIL!And
then put in frig to start cooling a little.
8. Soften cream cheese in microwave, and add pineapple
juice to cream cheese, whisk a lil, and Put back in
microwave for just a bit to get rid of big lumps. And
then put in frig to start cooling.
9. Then mix all other ingredients: Pineapple, pitted dark
cherries, and chopped pecans. Mix all fruit together
in same bowl and chill for about 15-20 min. to get
juices flowing!
10.Mix ecerything together, and chill in frig all day or
atleast 3 1/2-4 hours. You can serve as a desert or
w/the meal. Delicious!!!!!!!!!!! The cream cheese will
sometimes float to the top! If not, it doesn't matter!

Enjoy and try this, you may like it enough to start a new fad at your Holiday Feast!
I really hope some of you try it and let me know what you think!

Thanks,
Traci S
