I live in the wrong zone for what I really like. Will some one swap with me. More of my garden is in boxes right now than is in the ground. How many others are out there like me? I bet I am not alone am I.
Wrong Zone
I live in wrong country for what I am really like.
;)
My DD wants to move back to zone 7, tho I can't imagine why ... brrrr.
She enjoyed the plants that are so prolific there.
Cheri'
Honi, maybe you and I should get together and buy an acreage down south someplace. I love tropicals and it is so much work holding them over the winter, especially when they all have to be dug up, potted, held, and then planted again. I'm hating zone 5, big time!!
I know that I am supposed to live in Southern Florida - just stopped to rest here in Missouri!!!! We have 4" of the white stuff here right now - colder than a well-digger's ....!
Kay, we lucked out last night. Only have about a half inch of the white stuff. There is a bit of ice under it, so I guess I should be glad we have a little snow on top. Makes walking a little safer. Still doesn't make me like it any better.
No problems here. 50+ degrees, rain, wind from south, seems like spring. Think I can handle winter if it's like this.
Geese. Looks cold in Iowa.:) That is amazing.
Most of the U.S. is colder than most of Europe at the same latitude. Buffalo and Chicago are at the same latitude as the French Riviera. Pittsburgh is at the same latitude as Rome.
TLC, I'll bet Bruce is about ready for a vacation, isn't he? Is that him doing the shoveling? Think I'd get him a snowblower for Christmas.
LOL, Brugie!
Yes . . . that's him and the North wind is bitter and whipping. Plus the wind chill factor!
Bless his heart . . . he is cleaning out where the snowplow filled in the end of our driveway when they went by just so I can get the car out at 3AM to head for the airport tomorrow.
He probably wouldn't have complained if you cancelled your plans to fly tomorrow. Since we only got a half inch, there was no shoveling needed here today. Sorry you got so much, but not sorry we didn't.
Brugie,
Yes living farther South would be great. I hate the cold. BRRRRRRR
