Did you lose your Snowbanks? It's harder to send cuttings or plants this time of year. I begged for a Butterfly last year just before Christmas. I got one, but it got too cold on the way and rotted right after I got it. I know that it's hard to wait, but it WILL get warm again (we're having our first snow of the season right now, it started falling a few hours ago).

Moretz, you might want to ask for Sunset by it's other name
"Maya".More people here use that one.

moretz:
I was checking out this trade section of DG's forum and I ran across your request for variegated brugs.

I have 50 'Snowbank' growing in 4" square pots. These are clone starts obtained from the patent holder (patent prohibits propagated by cuttings). I'm growing them for spring sales through my website and on eBay. I WILL consider a trade, however for cuttings of brug varieties I don't already have. I’m particularly looking for double varieties (besides the double white, of which I have in quantity).

Like you, I'd like to receive cuttings now so I can root them during winter and get an early start on spring, but I don't know if shipping to and from your area would damage the brugs and cuttings. Maybe we should wait until March?

I would buy a snowbank from you as well! I planned on ordering one in the spring. If I come across a non-white double, I will get in touch with you. I think most of them are still in Europe! ;0) Except HG which I've heard is kind of a dud. Is your double white a candida? Is it named? Just curious.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

The US has double peach, Golden Lady (cream), Tiara (yellow) and several double whites. Herrenhauser Garten is here, but for most it isn't a good bloomer. There are also a few doubles from a cross that Monika made and one of them is a triple peach. I can't remember the name of it right now.

Here is double peach.

Brugie - that is STUNNING! Thanks for sharing a picture for those of us newbies who don't have the doubles - they are all beauties.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Thanks Kay. This one was new to me this last summer and it is definitely a keeper. The fragrance is wonderful and the blooms are long lasting. It is ten times the brug that Herrenhauser Garten is. Hope to get my plant large enough to be able to share one day soon. May have to start a second plant just for sharing.

WOW Brugie-that double peach isn't named? Did you hybrize it? I have a Golden Lady start-very excited about that. I'd like a double white candida-Now Tiara too-but then again, what *don't* I want? I am fairly obsessed and I have yet to witness one bloom-I can't imagine what's going to happen to me once I do.

The double is gorgeous! I'm a newbie, beginner, and so excited about the brugs period. I'm finally in a zone where it can grow.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Double Peach is a Native Habitat brug. It is just called Double Peach as far as I know. Sure is one of my favorites now.

Hi, all,
It's been a while since I checked in this forum and I see several requests for my 'Snowbanks' These ARE, of course, genuine tissue clones obtained from the patent holder, Terra Nova Nursery (sells wholesale only to the "trade": retail nurseries, garden centers and other licensed growers (like me). I ship with my own, approved tags to authenticate the origin of these patented plants (see photo). My eBay ID is < maintreefrog > , but I don’t plan to list them for a while, I AM, however, open to trading them for other, non standard brugs, preferably doubles (besides the double white, which I have). You can view a Data Sheet on this variety (and others)on my website: www.tree-frog.net
