Was looking up information on my Croton because it bloomed. Then I found out there are other ones and that they can be rooted in water.. Anyone interested in trading cuttings? I have the Varigated big leaf Croton Codiaeum variegatum pictum. The foliage is leathery and the colors red, yellow, and bold veins.
Would like to set up a trade (rooted or cuttings) for later in spring if anyone wants to trade, or now, just depending on how we pack them so they do not freeze on the way:
Only looking for the Long Skinny Croton and the long Curly Croton, I know there's more, but if I can get these two that would be great..
Also, my dig camera should be home from the Fuji repair shop by the end of this week or so they say.. then I will post the photo of mine. Most people would probably have these as indoor plants, but mine are outside here in Southern Cal.. Thanks.. Antoinette
Looking for Croton cuttings for Croton Skinny & Curly
Antoinette;
We have crotons galore down here in Florida. I pulled all mine out of the beds with a big rope and a pick up truck last year. They had not been tended properly so were little monsters. However, there are still more in the yard. If you can show me a picture of the ones you want, I can let you know if I have some of them or can get some cuttings. And I'll tell you, they are so easy to grow from cuttings. Stick a branch in the ground and water it. You can't lose. Lmk

HI Antoinette;
2 of the 3 links didnt work. I saw about 5 or 6 types on Richard Lyons site. However, I took some pictures just now of the crotons in my yard. Will email them to you. Tell me if any of them looks like what you want. I will send.
MOlly
They are beautiful, will send you an e-mail. The one I have has the bigger leaves.. I love those colors..
