I got this baby from Rootdoctor a couple of months ago. I potted it up and put it by the Goldfish pond where it proceeded to die. I thought for sure it was a gonner. I picked it up and put it in the house where both cats had a ball digging it out of the pot.
So I put it in the wash house and shut the door figuring I had another big pot to use in the spring.
Well wouldn't you know it, it put out a new leaf in a couple of weeks and at the bottom there are some new little shoots.
This poor thing is in no light and has not been watered for at least 3 weeks that I know of......

Just goes to show "Don't give up"

Just don't let it get cold. They don't like it at all. I've heard they will go dormant and it can take a year to come out of dormancy. It is looking really good. This one is a real looker when it gets growing good.

Hi Dee; These plants have to be tricked into believing they are living in the tropics. But in the shade. I have several young ones, some in ground, some in pots. I have a feeling it gets cold where you are. Maybe you could put it in a pot with a bottom dish and possibly keep it in the bathroom (more humidity and away from the cats) It might have a better chance of survival that way. Good luck

You're welcome. Enjoy your plant. They just keep getting more pretty with age.
